MOBILE GIVING SOLUTIONS
Parson Enterprises, LLC offers your business or non-profit the ability accept donations and payments from MC/VISA card holders directly from their mobile phones or web sites! We have added text-to-donate and text-to-pay, making it easier for non-profits and small businesses or individuals to accept electronic payments.
This service works much like PayPal but at no cost to the merchant or non-profit. These new capabilities offer a cost-effective alternative to cash and check transactions that can be very appealing to both individual consumers and small business vendors, particularly those who, for one reason or another, do not or cannot accept any other form of electronic payment.
Our service is the alternative to the text-to-donate services that bill to a wireless phone bill. If your non-profit didn't raise $500,000 last year in donations you cannot qualify to have donations billed to a wireless bill. If your small business wanted to use text-to-pay with other providers they will charge 35-45% of the transaction amount. Our service is the only product in the market that does not make you pay a percentage of the transaction nor do we have the $500,000 donation minimun that is required for non-profits.
What is SMS or text messaging? SMS stands for Short Message Service, commonly know to consumers as text messaging. The protocol is designed to send text messages to and from mobile phones. The messages may be up to 160 characters in length including spaces. Almost 100% of today’s phones can send and receive text messages!
What is a short code? Similar to a telephone number, short codes are special 5 or 6 digit codes used to route text messages from mobile phones to interactive mobile messaging applications, typically in combination with a keyword. They are designed to be shorter to read and easier to remember than normal telephone numbers. Short codes also allow for billing and other unique forms of interaction via the mobile phone such as television voting, ordering ringtones, charity donations and mobile chat services.
What is a keyword? Used in combination with a short code, a keyword is a word that differentiates a mobile campaign form others on the same short code. The keyword and short code combination allows mobile phone users to make a donation or payment.
For example, an organization called the Institute of Cultural Affairs has the keyword ICAUSA. In order to make a donation, mobile phone users would send the word ICAUSA as the body of his or her text message e.g. to the short code 48510.

With Other Text-To-Donate or Pay Providers
Other providers charge anywhere from $199.00 per month to $500 per month.
Other providers require that your organization must have raised at least $500,000 last year year in giving, per State.
With other services funds are transfered from the wireless carrier's bill to an (ASP) Application Services Provider in about 90 days. The ASP then has 30 days to transfer the funds to you. Therefore you will wait, on average, 90-120 days to receive your funds.
Some providers charge the non-profit $.45 cents per transaction.
Other providers require that your non-profit to be registered as a soliciting charity in all states in which solicitations will occur.
Other providers only allow $5, $10 or $20 gifts and the maximum they can donate in a given month is capped at $30.
We allow anyone to give up to $1000 in a single transaction.
