Physician and Medical Clinic Solutions

Begin collecting on a patient's responsibility... before they leave your office.

Physicians, doctors, and medical clinics accept payments from their patients in four ways: Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, and Health Insurance. Parson Enterprises can help with any non-cash method of payment. We can help you process credit cards through a traditional credit card terminal, accept checks with our Check Processing services, or through our new mPayGateway service.

Your Current Payment Collection Process

Patient receives services and leaves not knowing what they owe
30-60 days later –Health Plan tells the provider what to charge the patient
Only then can the provider send a bill to the patient
And another, and another . . .

Cost:
50% of post-visit consumer obligation is written off as bad debt
Outsourcers charge 6+% of transaction (plus print and mail charges)
Staffing to create and track bills

In the same way a hotel authorizes a card at check-in and collects payment at checkout -- mPay Gateway simplifies the process for health care providers!

mPayGateway SEE DEMO - click here

mPay Gateway brings a unique health care vertical card transaction capability that allows providers to collect from the patient while the patient is still in the health care providers' office. This not only greatly reduces bad debt exposure but also eliminates the expense of sending multiple statements to the patient long after the services have been provided. The push for consumer retail in health care and the demand on the part of the health care provider to be paid like any other service provider creates the nexus and catalyst for process change in consumer payment of health care provider charges.

mPay Gateway delivers hosted software that supports a business process for physicians and health care providers to collect patient payment obligations at the point of service, in real time. The mPay Gateway Provider Portal is a universal virtual POS terminal. Patient responsibility payments can be authorized at the point of service using the mPay accurate estimator against any card the patient prefers to use. When the claim has been fully adjudicated by the Health Plan, mPay Gateway ensures that the correct and final patient payment is electronically sent to the Provider.

By using mPay Gateway, a health care provider can increase its consumer collection rates from the 50%, which is the industry standard today, to 90+% that other retailers selling services to consumers expect in their businesses. mPay's business model is transaction fee based, and its value added service represents a significant premium to other processing solutions.

How It Works

Step 1: Patient Responsibility
Use the mPay Calculator to determine the patient responsibility. The mPay Calculator will take into consideration the health plan discount arrangement you have negotiated.

Step 2: Authorize Payment
Show patient the services performed and the patient's cost. Swipe the patient's payment card. The patient signs the receipt, validating the commitment to pay and is done.

Step 3: Collect Payment
When you receive the remittance advice from the patient's payer, use the mPay Re-pricing screen to request collection for the exact amount the patient owes. The money will be sent right to your bank.

In a matter of a few clicks, you determine service charges for the patient. You can then swipe the patient's payment card through your terminal and obtain the patient's commitment to pay in advance of receiving a remittance advice showing the exact amount the patient owes. It only takes seconds to do this before the patient leaves the practice.

Our patient Point of Service Calculator is easily set up online in minutes and will look just like your current patient charge ticket. The categories for procedures and services are in your terminology just like you use them now.

For the patient, it is simple -- visit your office, get needed care, see what the services cost, swipe a payment card and go home. No more statements and bills months after the fact.
