Remote Deposit Capture - RDC
Remote Deposit Capture is a Web-based, check image capture, storage and processing solution that enables financial institutions to provide commercial customers the ability to deposit paper checks of all types electronically. With the passage of the “Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act” (Check 21), paper checks can be cleared electronically through the process of check imaging and image exchange, and/or converted to ACH transactions for collection.
Electronic Check Conversion or Remote Deposit Capture frees you from physically taking checks to your bank for deposit by capturing an image of the check and electronically clearing and depositing the check into your account. RDC can accept mailed in checks, or checks accepted at your point of service/sale.
Once your check is scanned you save the image of the check as a jpeg, PDF, or all check details as a CSV file to convert into Excel.
